2 November 2011 Traders Trophy Worldwide Celebrates Best Student Trader of the USA
NYSE Euronext hosts the Traders Trophy Worldwide 2nd US Competition at the NYSE. In honor of the occasion, Best Student Trader of the USA rings The Closing BellSM. On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, the New York Stock Exchange will welcome 30 students who were selected from five of the top US universities to participate in the Traders Trophy Worldwide US Finals competition: NYU, Cornell, Columbia, UPenn and Georgetown. The winner, who will be chosen at the NYSE, will be named the “Best Student Trader of the USA” The winner and a wild card alternate will travel to the Netherlands in April 2012 to compete at the Amsterdam NYSE Euronext with the winners from over 20 other countries to be named the “Best Student Trader of the World.” The 2011 Traders Trophy Worldwide is a competition in trading of financial instruments and has been running since 2007. The Traders Trophy is now in its second year in the USA. Andrew Miller, Senior Partner of Oxyor, one of the co-sponsors of the competition, will host the event. Background on Traders Trophy Worldwide: The United States Traders Trophy is sponsored by Barclays Capital, NYSE Euronext and the international financial training company Oxyor and is one of the 20 national competitions which together constitute the Traders Trophy Worldwide.
